At Senft Legal, we operate on a contingency basis, ensuring you only pay if we win your case. Our fee ranges from 33-40% of the settlement or verdict awarded to you. This approach guarantees that individuals from all financial backgrounds can receive the justice and compensation they deserve.

If you are found to be 51% or more at fault, you are not able to receive any compensation from the accident. However, under Ohio's comparative negligence rule, you are able to pursue reduced compensation if you are only partially at fault. For example, if you are found to be 20% responsible for the accident and your total settlement amount is $100,000, you would be entitled to 80% of that amount, e.g., $80,000.

The time it takes to settle a car accident case in Ohio depends on factors such as the complexity of the case, severity of injuries, on-going treatment, clarity of fault, and the responsiveness of insurance companies. Minor injury cases may settle within months, while severe injury or complex cases can take years. Claims are filed with the at-fault party’s insurance; thus, settlement timelines can vary based on negotiations.

In Ohio, compensation for car accident injuries is primarily determined by the severity of the injury and how it impacts your life. If the injury is severe and impedes you from working, you can be compensated for any lost wages (past and future). Compensation also includes medical bills, property damage, pain and suffering, and other injury related expenses. In extreme cases of negligence, such as drunk driving, additional compensation may be awarded to further punish the at-fault party.

An Ohio car accident lawyer brings the knowledge, experience, and resources needed to negotiate effectively with the at-fault party’s insurance company. If a fair settlement isn’t reached, they’ll take your case to court, ensuring you fight for the maximum compensation for your injuries, lost wages, and emotional suffering. Hiring a car accident lawyer can set you up for success while pursuing justice against the responsible party.
